Under 7's - Under 14's (approx. 250 players regionalised into two squads-North & South). Train once a week in their age group and play against other professional clubs during school holidays, aiming to gain a place in the Academy
Regional Development Centres
Under 7's -Under 16's (approx. 1000 players in 16 centres within a 50 mile radius of Cambridge). Train once a week at their Regional Development Centre working to a syllabus based on the individual and play in internal matches during school holidays aiming to gain a place within the Shadow Squad.
Term-time evening sessions open to boys and girls, aged 6-12, of any ability. Training is led by CUYD coaches who are always on the look-out for particularly talented players to trial within the Cambridge United Youth Development System.
U7's - U16’s (approx. 125 players within 5 Centres in a 30 miles radius of Cambridge). Train once per week with a specific goalkeeper coach, working on the technical, tactical, physical and psychological aspects of goalkeeping. The young goalkeeper may be invited to play in half term Shadow Squad games or even the CUFC Academy.
Fun story-based games for 2-5 year old boys and girls. Children have the opportunity to take their first steps in football by learning basic techniques in a relaxed and fun environment.
Sport Development Programme
Positively affecting the lives of thousands of children of all abilities through delivering a wide range of sporting & educational opportunities in schools. Currently working in more than 50 schools delivering fencing, gymnastics, multi sports, dance and other activities to over 5000 children per week.
